We have a winner!

I know most of you have been just as stressed as I have about my car seat situation. I have researched online as much as I could and went to Buy Buy Baby twice to try out different car seats. The first time was a failure as every car seat the guy working told me to try out were the same size as the one I already had! So, the second time Ben and I went together to actually look at larger car seats that stay in the car as a last resort instead of buying a new car. While there he found one he thought was smaller so we put it in the car and viola! It fit!! It was about 3 or 4 inches shorter than the car seat we were going to use so I can comfortably fit it behind the driver's seat and still drive! (Everyone has told me to put it on the passenger side, but the driver's side was the big test in case Ben was riding in the passenger side.)

Anyways, so our new car seat is a:

Peg Perego SIP 30/30! Its cute, all black and mostly I love it. I don't love the canopy a ton because it doesn't quite pop into place easily, but it DOES fit onto our Stroller - City Mini Car Seat adapter and most importantly is MUCH cheaper than buying a new car! Now we are officially ready to have a baby and drive home :)

As an update - I am 39 weeks pregnant today! I have been having contractions since Sunday, but they have not amounted to anything yet since I'm still here. Today I was actually convinced that early labor had started and maybe we'd have a baby within the next day or two, but by the time I was getting ready for bed, all contractions had stopped. Boo. We have our appointment this afternoon (yes, it is 4:30am right now) so we'll see. I can't sleep any more though, its as if I'm getting ready to not be able to sleep and survive off of just a few hours of sleep at night and a short nap during the day... I'm not exhausted either, probably just anxious.
