Tercer Aniversario

Three years ago today I was standing next to my soon-to-be wonderful husband about to become a wife! Granted, it wasn't instant that we took on the 'great husband and wife' roles, but I am so glad to be here today. Three years just doesn't sound like its been that long in terms of marriage, but when I look back at my school career for the past 3 years it feels L.O.N.G.... Comparable to 10 years! I guess that is a good thing that the marriage part has flown by easily.


Ben and I just got back from a fabulous dinner at Village Tavern. The manager even gave us a discount on a few things! They are always so nice there! It was delicious and calorie overload, exactly what you are supposed to do on anniversaries right?! I did order a 'sliver' of iceberg for my meal to make up for the homemade potato chip appetizer and chocolate torte cake dessert.

Well, I was looking through our wedding pictures again for this wedding album that Ben is getting me and had to post some on here. They are just such great pictures! We had a wonderful photographer, Focus Photo Art. It was such a fun day and beautiful weather (if you ask anyone about my wedding though you'll usually hear something like, "I remember when you got married... man it was HOT that day...").

I just love weddings though! So much fun!

Now I am really looking forward to our trip to Chattanooga! If you have any suggestions of particular things we should do there please let me know!!

The moment you missed...

If you read my 5QF and watched my reception video, I wanted to show you one minor detail my thoughtful videographer left out:

Yes... right after Ben chivalrously carried me to the limo through a sea of bubbles and family and friends cheering and applauding.... he smashed my head right into the door frame of the limo. Cute, huh?

What. A. Day... or week...

1. Would you ever vacation alone?
Today... Yes. Today I really need a vacation alone.
Or just a vacation.
At a really clean hotel with a lazy river and a lot of sunshine.

2. Do you go the speed limit?

Mostly or at the most 79. I prefer to go slower than the speed limit to save on my mpg, but lately I'm always late getting places (not like me) and have to speed things up a bit.

3. Why did you start blogging/following blogs?
My cousin Ivy started a blog last year and encouraged me to do the same.

4. Where do you shop for yourself?
New York & Co. mostly. They have some great sales on decent work clothes. I also really love Macy's... can't beat those sales.

5. What was the song that you danced your first dance with your spouse to at your wedding...or...what song would you like your first dance to be to?
I actually have no idea, because it was something we didn't want to dance to. So in our video, I surprised Ben and asked the videographer to change the song to what Ben had wished we danced to.

I've decided to share with you a very wonderful/personal day in my life. I've had a pretty exhausting week, so just being reminded of all God blessed me with is good. (I had to drag the little scroller to make it go...)

(Its not the best we've ever looked - it was about 90 degrees that day, but it was a very happy day). *My dad taught me every word to 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' when I was 2 years old, so it was only fitting that it was in this video. This was all done by a truly amazing videographer: Sweetheart Stories. Brian Pitts was great to work with and didn't miss a single detail. His video was our favorite keepsake from that day. He even did bloopers at the end!!! If I could figure out a way to upload them, I would. He's amazing!
