Getting to Know You Sunday

I haven't played Getting to Know You Sunday in a LONG time. In fact, I'm really lagging on my blog and need to get back in the habit of things.

1. If you accidentally nick a car in a parking lot..Do you leave a note or do you get the heck out of there?
If I HIT a car, I would certainly leave a note or go find the person, but if my door bumps their side mirror and there isn't anything to it, then nope, I do just leave. I think one time I even rubbed the mark off! ha!

2. Love your body or plastic surgery?
Well, considering I've HAD plastic surgery in a sense, I have to choose the latter. I had a reduction 2 years ago and have been very happy with that choice every single day since. I would probably do it again too or have a lift later in life if things were super out of place, because I can't stand the uncomfortableness of that feeling and the not being able to exercise well, etc. That is probably the extent though. I can't imagine having a nose job or something like that.

3. What about your favorite blog(s) continues to drive you back?
How real the person is. I like to know about them, not just what giveaways they are having.

4. What percent of your blog is BS just to make your life seem more interesting than it really is?
Uh.... none. I should probably add some to it though, maybe I'd have more things to blog about!!

5. If you had to give up one type of meat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I could give up meat in a heart beat! I am not a red-meat, pork, lamb or fish eater as it is. I do eat chicken and turkey bacon though, as long as both are WELL done!

6. How often to you eat out?
Maybe once every couple weeks. Not very often at all. We don't live near restaurants so its not hard to avoid them. When we do eat out it is usually with my parents.

7. Skinny jeans or boot cut jeans?
Definitely boot cut. I just don't understand the skinny jean thing, although they do look super cute on a lot of people, my hips just don't seem to be made for skinny jeans and I hate for that much of my foot to be showing. I was told that there are a ton of different cuts with skinny jeans though so I want to know do you wear them? and what kind?

8. If you caught your spouse cheating would you forgive, divorce, or plan your kill?
Hmm.... this one is a tough one. I'd definitely cry for a LONG time, but I could not tell you what I would do. It really would depend on the surrounding circumstances a little bit. I cannot imagine not trying to work through it, but I'm sure there'd be a time when divorce could be possible too, I just can't even get my brain to go there.

While I'm awake...

1. Showers or baths?

I LOVE baths, but we don't have a large enough water heater to take one, so its been a few years....

2. Do you have any crazy urges?

Besides the one to eat anything & everything chocolate?

Sometimes I want to open the car door going down the interstate at 70mph.

3. What is one thing we don't know about you?

Uh... if you don't know it, I probably left it out on purpose, but let me think....

My mom had an IUD the entire time she was pregnant with me.

So much for birth control.

4. Exercise..love it or hate it?

Both. I love exercise classes AFTER I've finished it. I hate going to the gym though.

5. Do you think you have a good body image?

Currently, I have the "if only I could lose 10lbs" body image. But, yeah, I'd say its okay.

6. Flour or corn tortillas?

Flour

7. How do you celebrate Easter?

With a church service and spending time with Ben and his mom.

8. Hard boiled Easter eggs or plastic eggs?

Next year I'm doing both.

I LOVE Easter egg hunts, but apparently its not very appropriate for a 26, almost 27 year old to be knocking down the toddlers for their Easter eggs, so next year I told the middle school kids at church I'd give them an Easter egg hunt!

Maybe we'll even die eggs too :)

Sunday Funday

Today was a good day. I have been having some serious stress over internship issues, but have really been trying to completely hand everything over to God and stop stressing about it. In turn, today has been a great day minus the hour of sleep.

Ben's mother came to church with us this morning, our service was about Love. Loving one another, no matter what. We then taught Sunday school which didn't go as well as our service. (We are still waiting on a curriculum, so in the meantime, do you have any good middle school Sunday school related material?)

I also went to a bridal tea for my first college roommate, Kim, and it was SO much fun. It was such a surprise to see our other roommate, Jessica, there too because she lives in Nashville! I haven't seen Jessica in at least 5 years and it has been 3 years since I have seen Kim.

Clearly I need to get out more often.

Everything she got was from Pottery Barn! I think that is a huge benefit of getting married after a few others have done it. You get much better presents :) I feel bad for my friends who were the first to get married. None of us has any idea how to do things appropriately.
It did make me want to save up and buy everything in Pottery Barn though.

1. What's your favorite Easter candy?

Hands down, Reese Pieces Eggs. If you have not had these, go buy them immediately.

They are amazing.

2. Who do you think is cleaner..men or women?

Women, of course.

3. Which do you prefer..wordy blog posts or ones with pictures?

I love pictures, but if it is a wordy blog I need it broken up into different sections, otherwise I have a hard time reading it.

4. Were you popular in highschool?

I was pretty involved so I think everyone knew who I was, but I was not in the 'popular' group. I was part of the normal people group.

5. What's your bra size?

Thankfully I am a C. I had a reduction a year ago. Best decision ever. If you are thinking about doing it, I highly recommend.

6. How many states have you lived in?

3: Florida, New Jersey & Alabama

7. What's one blog you read every day?

Single Infertile Female

8. Peanut butter or Nutella?

Peanut Butter. I've never had Nutella.

Also, the diet is starting to pick up. I came crashing off the wagon on Thursday because of my going away party and have struggled to climb back on since. Today has been better, but my skin is showing my lack of will power today. I still have no idea what exactly is causing it, but I think my skin was showing an ever-so-slight difference. At least enough to keep me eating like this for a while longer.

I've dug my hole & Sunday Questions

Remember the other day when I said if peanut butter caused acne then I was going to dig a hole and get in? Well I just so happened to be reading about milk (and some seriously gross things about it I wish I hadn't read) when it said "and peanut butter"... this caused me to then google that link... (now I'm fully aware that you can find proof on google for ANYTHING, but still)... and there were several people who said it was peanut butter that causes their acne. ugh. I don't think I'm ever going to figure this out. Its so overwhelming and all I want to eat is chocolate cake glazed donuts from Dunkin Donuts! Yum :)

We've had an uneventful weekend around here. I worked Saturday at my parent's store and went to my nephew's last basketball game. He's such a cutie, he made one free throw and it made his weekend even though his team lost. Went to publix today to fill our empty cabinets and spent WAY more than I had planned... I think I may have to up my food budget.

How much do you spend per week on food? For how many people? I'd love to know.

I've read people who easily live on $25/week/person, but I just can't get there on this diet. Meats and veggies are WAY too expensive. Also, we eat every single meal from home, so add that in too.

The questions..

1. Would you rather bungee jump or sky dive?

Nope! Neither. I used to REALLY want to sky dive. So much that I almost booked it and was very ready. Then I decided I liked my life too much and didn't really want to die.

2. When using a public restroom to you squat over the seat or sit?

A little of both. I will hover if I think it is necessary, but I'd rather sit. If the bathroom is too gross I will just leave and find another one. (This makes long trips with me A LOT of fun... just ask Ben.)

3. Favorite flower?

Star-gazing lilies or lilacs! Even tulips :)

4. Pedicure or manicure?

Yes please! I love both. Especially when they come along with a mimosa or two.

5. How many siblings do you have?

2 brothers. One older, one younger.

6. Do you pee in the shower? (gasp!)

Hah! NO! And I never peed in pool either. I can't believe people do that. I remember being in college when a bunch of my friends and I went to an apartment pool for the day, coolers and beer in hand. After my 3rd or 4th trip to the restroom that day I realized that NO ONE else was going, and they were all downing beer all day. I asked someone and he was like, 'just pee in the pool.' YUCK.

7. Bikini, tankini, or one piece?

I like a regular bikini top and a skirt bottom, I don't know what that is classified as.
Victoria's Secret is my favorite place to buy bathing suits. Much better prices and they fit better than department store suits.

8. Where do you hate to shop at, but go there anyway?

But go there anyway?.... hmm.... I crossed Walmart off my list a LONG time ago, and don't go there at all anymore. I can't think of any place as bad as Walmart.

Um... happiest? a fun pink dress that I have no where to wear.

We live about 10 minutes from the Mercedes Plant and I think these are made there b/c I see a ton of them on the road.

This one seats 7, so that means I could have a couple kids and all my dogs loaded in it pretty easily. Either would have to be silver please.

I don't look forward to meals too much.
Honestly. If I did it would mean I was eating Pizza or Olive Garden or French Fries.... none of which I eat anymore.... Remember: I'm eating to live, not living to eat.

Revlon Beyond Natural - love this stuff!
6. What would you say your decorating style is..traditional, modern, eclectic, country, french country, shabby chic, etc..?
I think modern. I love solid colors, straight lines, simple...

Yep!

Cooked broccoli is the worst (I do like to eat broccoli, but it smells AWFUL!)

French toast ANY day. It is my 100% favorite breakfast.

2. Dream home..What would it look like?
Can I pick Keely's? Because wow.
My dream home would have a huge porch, 1-car garage on the main level so I wouldn't have to tote the groceries from a mile away and a separate, hear me? SEPARATE shop (garage) to house the buggy and where Ben can set off the fire alarm as much as he wants and I won't hear it.

3. Favorite sport to watch during the Winter Olympics?
Skiing. When they go SUPER fast.

4. The first word that comes to mind when describing yourself?
Blond.

5. Dresses, pants (jeans, leggings, etc.) or skirts?
Skirts a great pair of flip flops, every day.

10 am. At the Beach :)

Beach!!

Nope, never. I am not a pro-football kinda girl.

1. Hair color..Au naturale..or not?
100% Au naturale. I actually like my hair a lot in the summer, it gets quite blond, but here in the winter I'm looking a little dingy.

2. If somebody has food in their teeth or lipstick on their teeth do you tell them?
Yes, always and I'd appreciate it if others would do the same :)

3. Would you rather have a million dollars or your vision of the perfect body?
1 million dollars..... then I could open my own practice..... be on my own schedule... work out at all the gym classes I want without having to worry about affording them.... I could shop at WholeFoods... buy great food to eat for lunch and dinner and stop worrying about cutting coupons.... which would then give me my perfect body. :)

4. Favorite magazine?
Probably Shape. I get a ton of magazines in the mail for some reason, but never have time to read any of them but Shape.

5. Bra style..lacey or plain?
Plain

6. If you walked into Victoria's Secret..would you most likely come out with something sexy or comfy?
I would most likely come out with nothing. Nothing at VS EVER fits... ever. okay, so since that is the case maybe I'd come out w/ PJs.

7. Do you fake and bake?
I'm going to assume that means baking in the tanning bed??? If so, then no... if you know me I burn from just sitting under too many flourescent lights... so tanning beds would give me skin cancer in about 12.2 seconds.... tan in a bottle is the only way I get bronzed skin.

8. What's your favorite body part on a man?
Umm..... probably shoulders or back. (No hairy backs please!)

Not much. I am usually too busy reading blogs.

Seriously... I don't like when I have to narrow it down to one. Lost starts in a few weeks, so I guess I'm not technically watching it yet.... FlashForward is on hiatus through March.... I guess Glee.... of course :)

Tornado... because I live in 'tornando alley' and you have a good chance they'll miss you since they aren't quite as large as a hurricane.

Folded and I feel a little funny about telling you that.

Probably UP! Yeah, I don't go to the movies much.

Living room

5. Would you be grossed out if you found out your husband/boyfriend/significant other hadn't brushed their teeth for 4 days and you had been snogging (kissing) them?
YES! Brushing your teeth is a necessity in my life.

Nope

7. What is one goal you would like to achieve this year?
Graduate grad school (I skipped all the ones I haven't started working on yet, or I'm not quite sure I want to share them yet).

8. What is your favorite month/least favorite month?
Favorite: April. Its my birthday, Easter (usually), spring time (my favorite time of year), the semester ends, the weather is usually amazing!

Least Favorite: January. After Jan 1st, I'm ready for warm weather, flip flops, tank tops, etc. I'm ready for the world to be green again and flowers to bloom. BUT.... instead its 28 degrees outside and brown.... everything is dead, school starts back (yuck).....

Well, I finally made a decision (with the help of many people) and I love it.

I only have the dinner plates right now and thought I was getting the salad plates too, but my mom ordered these square-bottom bowls instead.But, they don't stack up together! With my itty-bitty kitchen, I just don't have enough cabinet space to have 8 to 10 bowls lined up side-by-side in the cabinet. So those went back and I think she's ordered these 'Fiestaware small bowls' instead, which are super cute.I went to Macy's.com to find you guys some pictures and guess what, Fiestaware is buy one get one free! Guess that means I'll have to scrape together some after-Christmas cash to get a plate or two. :)
